Christmas Tree Oreo Pops Recipe
December is here and we are all shopping our little hearts out. In between shopping, we are wrapping gifts, planning meals and planning holiday parties. One thing I look forward to every year is a Christmas cookie exchange. I just love getting to try out new cookies and seeing all the creative things my friends and family have made for everyone to taste. If you are not much of a baker, or even if you are, you need to try out this Christmas Tree Oreo Pops Recipe. It is such a cute spin on a traditional oreo cookie and requires no baking. This is perfect to take to a cookie exchange or to a holiday gathering.
This recipe uses easy to find ingredients and of course oreos.
Melt chocolate chips in the microwave and dip the lollipop sticks into the melted chocolate. Open up the oreos and place the stick on top of the cream filling. Close the oreo being careful not to break the cookie. Let the pops sit for several minutes. Then dip your oreo pops into the melted chocolate and let harden for 30 minutes. Melt the green chocolate in the microwave just before decorating.
After melting the light green chocolate in the microwave, place the melted chocolate in a piping bag or even a large zip lock bag will work. Use a back and forth motion to draw a Christmas tree on your oreos. Place one yellow M&M at the top of the tree for the star and decorate with shimmer sugar and candy sprinkles. So cute!
