Here something about me that many don’t know…Nearly four years ago, I was working full time in Corporate Finance. I enjoyed my job, but the long hours were becoming longer and my family time was becoming shorter. Before I started FTM, I was an accountant and had always enjoyed the thrill of of shopping. When I left my job, I had to learn to enjoy the thrill of getting a deal.

I wanted to start this website for not just me, but for all families to learn to stretch their money and focus on more on family time. Blogging for me is a choice, even though its a ”full time job”, seven days a week, I still choose when I want to post. As you all know, the internet NEVER closes.

The Internet is such an integral part of our lives and so readily available, I believe the internet should be safe for everyone, including children. FTM has earned your trust and will continue to posts safe content for you, your kids, and even your parents. But, I’m sure you’ve heard plenty of stories about sites that are not safe for kids. Fortunately, there are companies at work to help keep our kids safer online.

I was thrilled to learn that Go Daddy, a company I do business with regularly, is one of those companies. You may know that they offer web hosting, but did you know that they also work to keep kids safe online? What To Expect When Your Expecting Giveaway!

When I found out I was pregnant, I immediately created a game plan. I read every book out there, including the must have- ”What to Expect When you are Expecting”. I changed my diet, quit drinking caffeine and started my prenatal vitamins. I made charts and lists, visited the hospital maternity wards. I organized the nursery – down to color coded everything. I was just on the ball. I expected this to be a textbook pregnancy. Or, so I thought.

The reality was, what I was expecting, was not at all what happened! Isn’t that true with most of life? I expected to gain weight – most of my pregnancy I lost weight. I expected to work until delivery – instead I spent 3 months on bedrest. I expected to have a natural childbirth – I ended up with a C Section.

There is just sooo many new things to be aware of when you are expecting. From Vitamins, to Diet, to Childbirth classes, there is a ton of information.
