I think this video from Office Max just about sums up what parents feel when their children are heading back to school. As my son is getting older, I see him as a little person. He is starting to have dreams about what his career will be. I am so determined to have him realize he can do ANYTHING, yes even be an astronaut.

Before he can be an astronaut, we have to get through the third grade.  OfficeMax has prepared these great list of of back to school supplies . Each list is setup with grade appropriate supplies.

If you haven’t already been taking advantage of Office Max’s back to school deals, I am sure over the next few week’s the deals will only be getting hotter!  Of course, I tend to check out Office Max all year long – I am a big fan of their rebate program. I don’t think I ever pay for paper. I buy the paper on rebate and then use the rebate dollars to pay for my toner.  I have always been pleased with the rewards program from Office Max.

    My daughter is in preschool, so none of the lists truly apply. I think I’d do a give-and-take from the teacher’s list (so I can help my daughter learn at home) and the kindergarten list.

    I would use it for donations to the school. We have our supplies already & then some. We always buy extra for the kids that are in need in the school, my kids just know to grab 2 or more of everything and we send it all in on the 1st day. I hope it’s a relief to the teacher’s to not have to buy it out of their pockets!

    I would say that the college list would be what I’d pick, my sweet step-son is just starting college and I’d love to get him anything that would help him start this new chapter in life. Plus I want to go back to school so anything he didn’t use could hopefully be passed along when I start back ;)

    The college student list would work best for us! We don’t have a college student but we do have a basement in the process of being remodeled into our school room. All the things on the list would help tremendously! It would be awesome to have a mini kitchen set up for snack time! And the laptop would be perfect to allow 2 kids to work on computer lessons simultaneously. We really hope we win!!

    My two little ones are too young for school, but I’m a full-time college student and winning for myself for the college student list would help me out immensely. That would be less money I have to spend oop for my school, and more money I could use to stock-up for clothing for the girls, take them to the museum, and sign them up for the baby/toddler classes in our area (I just think it would be fun, and a great opportunity for them to play with other kids!).

Also, my older sons backpack just ruptured the bottom corner out, so I temporarily fixed it with safety pins. I know he would love a new backpack because he has used this one for 4 years!

    In my dream world I would get everything on the Teacher’s Corner list and the K-5 list! I teach 2nd grade at a low-income school and we do not send home school supplies lists to families because they can’t afford it. So who buys all the supplies for 20 kids for the whole year?…ME!
