We are a Flip Video family. I am constantly grabbing mine and shooting some quick video. I love it because of the size!  Do you remember when you used to have a huge camera to get great video? Then you would have to take the tape out and load it into another thing to play it in the VCR.

This little camera has been wonderful for us. It has been perfect for capturing those sporting events, silly songs, and birthday parties.

    I would love to use the flipcam to create a video resume during my job search as well as visually document all the places I plan to visit these upcoming months and send it to my grandparents who live in california. They love to know what they’re grandchildren are doing and share in the experiences, but are too old to travel. I hope to bring the travel experiences to them in the comfort of their home. :)

    I would use the Flip video cam to capture the many funny comments, actions, and silliness that my 3yr old does every day!! I always say I will write it down, but of course life gets in the way…….. Of course, my son would also “borrow” it for self videoing his skateboard skills!!!

    I have twin boys that are 4 1/2 yrs. old and have recently gotten into dancing to country music and I would love to catch them when they don’t know and when they do know. It has got to be the cutest thing ever. I have also wanted to catch some of those sweet moments (that don’t happen often) between them when they are playing so good together and their imagination is running wild.     I would LOVE to video our 7 month old little boy! He is our first child, and right before he was born, the battery went out in our huge, bulky video camera. And, we could not find a battery that would go to it without ordering and waiting months to get it in! So, for his birth, we had to borrow a video camera, and now I use my phone to video – but have no way to get the videos off my phone! So, this would be WONDERFUL to have one of these to capture our every changing little boy!! He is trying to crawl – and it would be amazing to capture that on video!!! :)

    This is bordering on ridiculous, but a few years ago one of our tenants stole our camcorder from our home – while I was there!! He later confessed, paid restitution, etc…
    Because it was complicated to use and even more so to transfer/download the recordings off I rarely took the video off the camera so we lost some valuable memories of our daughter when that camcorder vanished.
    I like the simplicity of this Flip Ultra and don’t think it would be as overwhelming to operate. I would LOVE to start capturing those special life moments of our kiddos! Thank you for this offer!

    Had a flip video for several years, and let the kids play with it and sadly the usb connection came loose and broke off. Really miss it, so easy to carry around.     We tried for 6-7 years to have a baby and very unsuccessful. Since my wife is 37, I told her we could adopt kids. Thanks to lord, my wife is pregnant and due in January. I’m planing to use my 2 mega pixels camera as video camera on that day.

    I leave food out for the little family of flying squirrels that have made their home in our oak tree. They are use to me and let me watch them at nite while they feed.     I have a son who just turned two and he is doing so many adorable things! My very favorite thing that I am just dying to capture on video is him singing! When I sing him lullabies at night, he sings along and knows every word! He also sings along to the “Veggie Tales” songs when he watches a video. It really is the cutest thing :)

I didnt have a camera at that point, and i missed a lot. I wish i would have been able to film more of his precious moments.     I use to have a working video camera but we currently rely on my digital camera’s video recording which is not good at all (it is on it’s last leg). I was just saying to my husband how we have missed out on so many memories of our son (just turned 2) captured on video. I remember growing up as a kid we would have family movie night. My dad would pull out the projector and the big screen in our living room and my family would eat popcorn and watch all the movies of my brother, sister and I growing up.     I subscribe to the feed and follow on facebook. I would love to have this camera to capture the smiles of my special little girl. She is 14 months old and has many health issues. Epilespy is the main one. We don’t get to capture her laughs and smiles as much as we would like because they don’t last very long and by the time we get the camera out and on she is distracted and we missed it. Most of my pictures and videos are on my cell phone and they are not the greatest. Thanks so much!!

    If I would win this, this would be great to video my girls…2 and 1. My 1 year old is just starting to walk and just do so many things that is hard to catch with a big camcorder. This would be so great. My 2 year old just does and says so many funny things and I love to watch her play with her dolls when she doesn’t know I’m watching. It’s hard to record her by surprise because our camera beeps when it comes on so she stops. Those memories are priceless and there are certain things that she won’t do again when she knows I”m recording her.

    I would love to video time spent with my mother. She has dealt with chronic illnesses since I was 15 years old and I am now 30. She had her first of 2 heart attacks when she was only 37 years old. She is now 53 and has had 2 heart attacks and has 9 stents in her heart. She also suffers with complications from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and was recently diagnosed with dyslipidemia. This causes her liver to continuously produce cholesterol even though she is on a very strict diet and on many different cholesterol lowering drugs. My mom is my best friend and it frightens me to think that our time together may be shortened due to this illness. I want my mother to be there for the birth of our children someday, for my sister’s wedding this fall, for our family holidays together, and so many other occasions I couldn’t begin to name them all. I pray everday that God will heal her from these illnesses and that our time together will not be shortened due this this, but I know that His will is greater than my own. So I will continue to keep the faith and do my best to cherish and document each and every second we have left with her! Good luck everyone!!! :)

Impromptu dances, a new song, creating art, maybe even a few of the peaceful moments, reading a book or napping. She is growing up so fast. I cannot believe she is almost 3!     I was just talking with my daughter about this. A little history: I have a 16 year old daughter from my first marriage. Her Dad lives several states away and is now very sick with end stage renal failure, He is awaiting placement on a transplant list. Because of this, our daughter is going to live with him and finish school out there. I have never missed a school activity, EVER! This is where winning a FLIP would come in handy, while I may not be able to be there in person for all the events, I can at least still see them.

Having the HD camera would allow for us to grow much faster, and make much higher quality videos
