You Asked, I Am Answering…

March 3, 2010

I am going to keep answering the questions you left in the comments of the survey.

1.Post Giant deals earlier, you are the one site I use for Giant deals and they seem to be posted later than other stores that aren’t in the local area.

I would love to post Giant earlier, but they are so darn unreliable with when I get my ad.  So if I can’t get an ad until Sunday, I can’t get matchups til Sunday night or Monday night.  If I get the ad earlier, you will see it up on Saturday. Somedays I get it on Weds before the sale, Monday after the sale starts.  I wish I had a better source.

2.  I know it’s hard to refer people to other blogs for other posts because you are afraid of losing readers, but if you don’t want to, or don’t have time to do, the Walmart & Target posts – link to someone else who does. I visit MANY different blogs for all of the deals, so just don’t do too much.

I have no problem linking to other blogs, I link  for Target every week.  I have no fear of losing readers – I want every reader to go to the blog that matches them best :)

Walmart deals I swap every other week with My Frugal Adventures.  The problem is this with clearance deals, roll backs, and price cuts is that most pricing for Target and Walmart is different by region. I do not like to link to a blog say in Arkansas for Target deals. My primary readership is PA and there is nothing worse than going on a wild goose chase for something that isn’t available in this area.

3. I view a few blogs and notice that most people down say WHERE they are located. It would be nice to know for planning.

I am in the Philly, PA area  and to find out more about me, even my ugly mug … you can check here.

4.I wondered what happened to your 365 days of meals or whatever it was called?

Ok, so I have been putting this off trying to hold off for the final product. I was having technical difficulutlies with the large photos in my blog posts for the recipes and more technical stuff that I won’t bore you with. Bottom line is this, I am starting a new blog, it  will be live as soon as we work out all the bugs.  You can get a sneak peek here. Sorry to just disappear with this, but I ended up moving servers, hosts, hiring a designer, etc.

5.It would be nice to have a links on the side of your blog for all the CVS, Wags, Rite Aid, Amazon, Target, etc posts. Does that make sense? That way if I want to find a post from Target from a couple days ago I click on the Target link and it will bring up all the Target posts starting with the newest – to the oldest.

This is currently available. Go to the categories on the right hand side of the side bar. Click on the categories and select the deals you want to see. It will bring those posts up in order.

More to come!

TY for the Q&A! I never knew there were categories either. I used to search my email by store name. LOL!

  3. Michael says:

ugly mug..not quite : ) Thanks for the great site. Thank you for your time and effort you put in it. I’m new to this saving money stuff. It is an adventure, kind of addicting.

As a loyal reader, what *bugs* me on this Q&A is the lack of “thank you’s” from many of the comments. We, as readers, don’t pay for your work. Sure, it’s great to say things you would like to see more of, but, people, at least acknowledge all the great that is already here!

    Just my 2 cents.

    Harry

  5. Rachel says:

Maybe I can help you out with Giant deals. 95% of the time I get my ad on Thursday and if it’s not an insane week in my house, I can try to send you the bestest deals and you can follow up on it when you get your ad?

  6. Sharon says:

  7. Harry Martin says:
