1- Post-it sticky notes, 2pk $1
1- Staples pink eraser caps, 12pk $.01
1- Staples 3×5 index cards, 100pk $.01
Also brought in 4 used ink cartridges to recycle
Total: $30.25
used $5/30 Staples coupon
$25.25 after coupon
Will get $19.98 in Staples rebates (2×5.99 paper, 4.00 zebra pencils, 4.00 pentel RSVP pens) AND $8 rewards for the ink

This is a great haul! However your math isnt adding up and you aren’t taking full advantage of all avenues. Let me explain further…something above had to cost 25 cents, and you could’ve bought 3 each of the penny items.
Further, there is a back to school savings pass which offers 15% off. Cost $10 but pays for itseld in savings easy. I bought a chair for $99 bought the $10 card, saved $15 used $5 coupon.. out the door with chair for $89 and now everything else til Sept 15th will save me 15%. So, i will repeat your scenario above tomorrow and be out of pocket $20.29.
AND Lastly, you will also earn 10% on the paper purchase, so expect a reward of $9.40, not just $8 for your recycled ink cartridges. :)
How does the ink program work at Staples? I have a few empty color cartridges I could turn in.
If you have a staples reward card just turn your ink cartridges in at the counter and they will send you an email with a rewards coupon that you can print out and use in the store.
You will get $2 per cartridge unless they are running some special promotion.

If you ise HP ink they a lot of times run special promotions so that you get more back for your empty cartridges when you by new ones :)
