At the end of each year, I think how did it go by so fast!
2011 was a year of ups and down for me. I am thankful for all of the Ups and what I have learned through the downs. I feel incredibly blessed – I have an amazing group of family and friends – and readers here on FTM.
I am thankful for all the opportunities that 2011 brought my way. It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know many of you in 2011.
I am not a fan of resolutions, but in 2012, I do have some big plans. With these plans, mean some changes around FTM. Most of the changes will go unnoticed by many, but will make a big difference. The one big plan for 2012 is to no longer run FTM solo. It is a big job keeping on top of every deal, giveaways and literally thousands of emails. I am thrilled to announce that my sister Natalie will be playing a larger role in FTM in 2012. She is still learning to coupon, but she is ready to jump in. My other big plan for 2012 is to start races again. Many, many moons ago, I ran competitive races. My goal in 2012 is to run atleast two races – but hopefully many more. I can say that training at 36 is wayyy different than training at 21. My ultimate goal is a Spartan Race!
So I wish all of you the best in 2012. I hope you will hang around for the new year!

Shannon, Thank you for a successful year with us. With the money I saved from buying my needs and a few wants from your postings as well as those ideas and hints from your other readers and spotting some good deals of my own, I was able to go out of 2011 in NO DEBT. This has never happened before. I’ve seen how the littlest of things can add up when you’re not using coupons and vowed to save on everything I buy. Happy running in whatever
races you encounter and participate with your enthusiasm.

Hey Shannon,
I’m a runner too so I can relate to the aging process being an impediment. I’m 43 and remember the things my 23 year old body did that I can no longer do. Anyway…thanks for keeping up on FTM site. It has changed the way I look at finances significantly and my New Years Resolution is to be debt free (except for the mortgage) in 18 mos.
