This is a 9 year old boy’s definition of organizing coupons. I am almost sure he learned this organization method from his father.
This all started innocently enough, Evan offered to clean up some expired coupons I had. Since I am dealing with my leg injury, I thought the help would be nice.
He emerged from the basement with many non expired coupons – heading for the trash!!! You should have heard the scream – it was like a slow motion Nooooooo.
Luckily, no coupons were harmed in this incident. Phew.

That is so funny! My son (11 months) helps me coupon. He likes to examine and rip up the post-cut & expired inserts. I just have to make sure he doesn’t try to eat them! I actually got a really cute pic of him “checking out the deals” in the Aldi circular…!
Love it! Whenever Sienna finds my coupons, they end up crumpled and scattered throughout the whole room, or in her mouth!
he he but she is adorable, so she gets a free pass!
:D That brightened my day.
lol that’s a fast way to clean up. Hope you’re feeling better.
love this! What a crack up. I would probably freak out too!
Evan, I love your enthusiasm! At my house the first rule of helping is “Ask” and since you did that you were off to a great start. I’m glad you are trying to help your mom.
Dawn, very good point! He did ask first :)
That’s ok, my cat LOVES coupons. She thinks they are toys that need to be shredded! Trying to get the coupons from her can be very damaging (both to the paper and my skin!)
my son (22 months) reaches for my printables as it prints fresh out of the printer and throws it on the floor. that should be a crime and maybe i should be exempt from receiving a visit from social services if i decide to retaliate; afterall im couponing for him, right?
LOL! Funny you posted this today! I was just going through my printables to seperate the expired ones….and my son kept grabbing the ones that were NOT expired…I was doing the same thing….NOOOOOO!! LOL He and my little girl LOVE helping me sort through the coupons!!
Yikes!! That was a close call. What happened to your leg? Hope you get better soon.
Thanks Judy. Long story – but 4-6 weeks in a boot.
That’s to funny. That sounds like me. My kids know to stay away from my coupons. They say that’s mommy’s money. LOL
