As I am writing this post, I am thinking about all of you who are going throw some stones at me for mentioning this. However, it is just 100 Days until Christmas and even less until the Holiday Season. I know that most of us are just getting into the back of the swing of things with school, but others are well under way for their holiday shopping.
I wanted to give you a few holiday planning resources and a sneak peak at a resource that will be going live in early October.
A Christmas Your Way Ebook – This free resource is a guy to a stress free holiday season.
Here are some of the topics you can expect to find:
Making — and sticking to — a budget
Planning your holiday calendar
Homemade gifts from the heart
Stress-free gift shopping
Creating family traditions and memories
Preparing your Christmas cards now
Decorating for the holidays
Holiday baking you enjoy
Decluttering the toy room
Charity and volunteering
You can also print a Christmas Planner here. (this is a great tool to keep you organized)
Make sure you bookmark this great resource to find all the hottest gifts of the season (the site goes live on 10/01/2010, but you can click over for a preview).
So are you ready to start preparing for the holiday season or are you in “the I don’t want to think about Christmas Yet” camp?

I save myself 100% of the stress by remembering (daily) why we celebrate Christmas. It’s because of the birth of Jesus. That’s why it’s exciting. That’s what we want our children to remember the most.
I’ve bought a couple of gifts on clearance and the remainder will probably be homemade since I sew and quilt. Christmas is going to be scaled back greatly at our home this year.
Panic set in when I saw that it’s only 100 days until Christmas! I used to be great about picking up gifts throughout the year for my family. But then we switched to a white elephant exchange and that meant I only had to buy one gift (plus a gift for my niece and nephew). But this year it sounds like we might be going back to giving a gift to every individual (don’t ask me why we’d do that in this economy!) hence why the panic set in. Thanks for the heads up though.
@Sharon,
start early Sharon and buy the little deals as they come up. I was able to buy everyone something for $5.00 and under last year – and it wasn’t garbage.. nice gifts just getting the deals.
I almost fell over when I read the headline…. especially since our move has been held up and I have no idea where we will be at Christmas. You just made me realize its not really that far away…. ahhhh…. My husband also just told me I am not allowed on the computer anymore if Im going to read stuff like this LOL.
@Dizzy Mommy,
ha ha ha .. men dont think like us, they worry about Christmas on December 20th.
I usually do my shopping right after Christmas and put everything in our gift closet to dole out over the course of the year. Black Friday shopping is for “me” shopping. Can’t wait for that!
Thanks so much for linking to my free resources, Shannon! Can’t wait to see what you have in store with your gift guide!
@Mandi @ Life Your Way,
It was an excellent reminder. It seems so close when you say 100 days.
Thanks for the guides.
I also took advantage of the Target Clearance BIG TIME. I’m about 90% DONE!
once i started couponing this year, i realized the importance in planning ahead. both of my kids have bdays in november so the budget definitely gets tight with christmas around the corner. this year i created a list of all the bdays and christmas presents i would need to buy for the year and itn has helped me stay within budget and plan ahead so i’m not stuck having to buy a present last minute.
I love Christmas and I still have many gifts from last years shopping-Black Friday deals, and some I have been doing throught the year (target clearance)….I actually went to check out the stash of gifts today while both of my kids were in school. This year though will be very different. Our entire family on my husbands side is off to Hawaii for a weeks vacation (my husband and I plus the kids are going for 12 days) — right before the holidays. I cannot wait! This means I will not have as many days to do get good deals. Our family is very large and so we only do gifts for kids. It makes it so nice. My husband and I don’t really exchange gifts. We usually end up getting something for the both of us, or a family gift.
Are u sure it’s 100 days? I wish it was only 30!…haha
With the ecomony in the shape it is is just makes sense for anyone to start thinking about it earlier than they normally would.
I was laughing earlier because the ice cream truck that cruises around the neighborhood was playing Christmas tunes…in MAY & JUNE !
We have started shopping already and have several gifts finished. I love shopping early and planning out the gifts. I don’t however like the Christmas decorations out early, when I was a kid Santa didn’t appear until after the Thanksgiving Day parade! We don’t take the kids to see Santa until after Thanksgiving!!
I’m pretty much done already
With all the great deals you bloggers give me!
YAY for Target Clearance. No for my husband’s present ANY IDEAS???
I am SOOO ready for Christmas! I love this time of year! And it’s extra special this year because we just recently had our first child and it will be her first Christmas experience! The past few years I’ve “kicked off” my Christmas season (since I start it so far in advanced) by visiting the Macy’s in our mall at the end of Sept. because that’s when they start putting up their display. I can’t wait to bring my daughter this time!
This was the title that popped out at me when I loaded your page. You might have laughed if you saw my jaw drop when reading that there’s 100 days until Christmas!!
I love christmas. knowing it is only 100 days away though is making me slightly panicky. yikes! 100 days doesn’t seem like long enough to get ready
I can’t wait to see all the good christmas deals you find.
